How effective is using dental braces after 30 years?

Is it helpful to correct teeth alignment by using dental braces after 30 years? I’d like to know whether dental braces are effective only during teenage and in 20s or it will help even after 30 years. I’m planning to make an appointment with my doctor for dental braces but just want to know whether any body has any experience using braces after 30. Please share your opinions/experience. thanks.

Adult orthodontics can reach the desired results. It just takes a little more time. Go for it.

Looking for affordable, local, short term and with a minimum wait time to see a dentist before it covers you. Thanks!

Is the dental plan through Tricare worth getting?

I’m having an issue with a capped tooth (uggggggggh!) and need to sign up for the insurance you get through Tricare. I think its Concordia? I’ve heard that its not the Best DentDental Plan and was wondering if those who have used it think its worth it? If people wouldn’t mind sharing their experiences that’d be great!

I’m and Active Duty dependent.

Thanks!

It is not a great program, but what other options do you have? For the price you pay you should definitely get it and if there is another policy available through your office, if you work, then get that as a supplemental. When my wife worked for an insurance agency, she had both concordia and her work policy.

I can’t speak for any of these companies, as I get dental through my job. Generally, I THINK, you will get the Best DentDental Plan option if you get full insurance, but I don’t know.

Depending on what part of NC - I can recommend a really good Dentist in Raleigh.

Your best bet will be to find a dentist first that you like, and find out what insurance they take, and make sure you buy the correct plan. Not every dentist accepts the same insurance.

Will having a dental plan ontop of my insurance help financially with the bill?

I need quite a bit of work on my teeth and a little bit of what may be considered cosmetic. Will having a Dental Plan on top of my insurance actually make a difference and help financially with the bill? (Considering of course that the dentist actually accepts both my insurance and plan)

Normally your health insurance won’t cover any dental unless it is specifically related to something other than your teeth. The dental coverage would generally not cover elective cosmetic procedures either, but your dentist might be able to get them to pay it. I’d ask the dentist’s opinion here, but be advised that a lot of times the provider is paid less than normal by an insurance company, so they do have a financial incentive in some cases to mislead you on this a little.

what is the best dental plan for getting an extraction?

i need four extractions and 9 fillings! and i want to know what the Best Dental Plan would be. Also, what is the difference between a Dental Plan and dental insurance?

i found this site but it seems as tho they only want my money
http://www.inscomp.net/dental.cgi

In your case ist fillings should be looked after otherwise decay will spoil your teeth more day by day.
Get your OPG rediological investigation done.If teeth are not exposed in x-ray get cosmetic fillings done.About your extractions if there is no periapical infection get them out and keep your self on antibiotics as long as required. You can replace your lost teeth with fixed restorstive work like ceramic bridges or implants.

Is the military dependent dental plan any good?

I am young, and a veteran so I have never ever had to pay for dental care so I don’t have anything to compare it too. I have whatever the basic plan is that is through the army. Is this a good plan? As far as out of pocket expenses. Is there anything I should know? I need to get 2 cavities filled, one crown and two wisdom teeth removed.

2 free cleanings each year (have to be 6 months or more apart) and 1 xray every 2 years with the only cost to you any taxes charged. For all other work up to 80% paid for then you pay the rest out of your own pocket. usually cavities run around $25 to $50 each at your cost, crown not sure. Wisdom teeth is different. If you only get 2 or 3 pulled any anethestic used is out of your own pocket but if you get all 4 pulled they will cover it. Often the difference between the two is around $100 to $200 so it can be better if necessary to get all 4 pulled. Now sometimes for wisdom teeth if the base is open then dental on base can do it but it has to go through approval and that can take time.

The cost for the program is $13 for a single or $33 for a family per month and that is deducted straight out of his pay.

it is a decent program compared to others that I have seen. Many do not cover all of those things. You just need to find a nice civilian dentist in your area that is accepted by United Concordia.

i need the better dental plan coverage for braces?

Do any one know which dental company have the better coverage for braces? I want to do braces, but i cant afford treatment for 6400 or above.

I paid only $2200 for mine when I was originally quoted $4500 because of this great plan. I would encourage you to visit this great site: www.healthsavings.ourperfectcard.com I signed up online over 5 years ago now and they have saved me thousands of dollars over the years. with all services are included in this very affordable plan. They even had my benefits active in 2 hours and was able to use it the very same day. good luck and hope this helps.
