Does dental plan cover jaw surgery and braces?

I need braces then jaw surgery for my teeth, but that’s going to be really expensive. I don’t have dental insurance or anything but if I get it before braces and surgery, will it be able to pay for most of the costs?

depends on Dental Plan

What’s the best dental insurance for an individual in Missouri?

I’ve been trying to search for an affordable dental insurance plan for myself. I’m single , live alone and work 40 hours a week like a lonely servant of god. I could probably afford up to $50 - $70 a month. I’d like to have a low deductible etc.

Thanks in advance for any information and help.

Private dental insurance is very expensive and often doesn’t make financial sense to buy. Discount Dental Plans provide major savings with affordable yearly premiums ($80-$200/year). See http://www.lowpriceddentalplans.com to see which plans are available for your zip code.

I want to get Dental Plan, from BlueCross but I can’t find one that cover Dental braces.?

I want to have a limited play, just enough to pay for my dental braces and don’t want be a long term member of Blue Cross. Could anyone help me on this? I don’t know anything about what they mean in this section:

Orthodontic Care
Orthodontics –
Adult $3,045
Retention $210

What do I pay? Just the monthly charges or what?

New to this stuff about Dental HMO. Please help.

Most Dental Plans don’t cover braces because they usually are more of a cosmetic fix than a functional fix. If they did cover braces it most likely wouldn’t be the invisalign ones, only the normal metal braces(especially with a HMO).

Maybe someone else knows one that does cover braces? (Sometimes they’ll cover kids, but I don’t know about adults)
